Another weekend visit to Las Vegas comes to an end.
I had the pleasure of spending the weekend of March 12-14, 2011 and showing my favorite place to two new Vegas visitors. I worked with my host at Caesar’s Entertainment to set up a nice trip. We had two nice rooms at Paris (my favorite place) and a limo ride from the airport. I showed them around to the some of the my hot spots Bellagio Fountain, TI Pirate Ships, Gondola’s, Stratosphere Tower, and Freemont Street.
We had enough time at Freemont Street to try the new zipline. The zipline was great and for $20, I recommend everyone try it. Even though I think the Sky Jump at Stratosphere is still the best attraction in Vegas. I was surprised how busy Fremont Street was on a Sunday night. The whole town seemed very busy this weekend. Guess the economy is improving (HAHA).
We used the 24 hour buffet passes from Caesar’s to eat at four different buffets, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Caesar’s, and Harrah’s. Caesar’s Buffet was a first time visit for me and I found it to be very nice and the food was wonderful. The others meet my expectations as always.
We took in three shows (all repeats for me), Mystere, KA, & Jubilee. Mystere is still me favorite show in vegas and I have seen it 8 times and would see it again. Jubilee is the last “Vegas” show and does not disappoint and all visitors should see it once to view the showgirls. The stage in KA is worth seeing alone and we found 40% off coupons outside MGM to save a few bucks.
I even took some of my money home with me this trip and didn’t have to visit the ATM. I participated in a slot tournament and missed the money by 250 points. My two guests enjoyed vegas and I am sure they will be going back since they asked what to see on the next trip. So, another trip is done and the next one is being planned.
