Restaurant Week in Las Vegas starts August 29 and goes through Sept 11. It is the 5th year of the event where restaurants across the city create special menus at fixed prices and donate some of the money to a local food bank. Good information, Joe. I might like to try those on my next Vegas run. So, in your opinion, would the head chef of Rao's at Bacio now boost the place a lot?

Chef Carla Pellegrino should be great for Bacio. I've seen her on several interviews. She is a happy chef. Bacio was good but inconsistent before she arrived. She has overhauled the menu and the prices have increased about 25%. She still wants to modify the restaurant to include an open kitchen. She is often seen singing in her open kitchen of her restaurant in Henderson.

BTW, she is half Brazilian and half Italian. So depending on the level and region of Italian you prefer, it might make a difference.
