Caesars Entertainment Corp. executives came out to present Project Linq to the public and display ideas of what to expect. The $550,000,000.00 project features outdoor retail, dining, and entertainment.
The centerpiece of the project will be an Ferris Wheel. Every executive that discussed it, said it's not a Ferris Wheel. It's an observation wheel, a viewing wheel, or anything but "Ferris". The 550 ft wheel, will be over a 100 feet taller than the London Eye. Each of the 28 enclosed cabins will hold 40 guests. The wheel would rotate at a speed of 30 minutes for one revolution. The cost of a ride is expected to be less than $20.
Part of the plan removes O'sheas for more room. O'sheas might return in the back of what is now the IP. The Imperial Palace will be turned inside out, run through the washing machine, given and extreme makeover, renamed, rethemed, and when it's over, you won't recognize it. The IP currently leases the name they use, so they need to rename it anyway.
Linq is expected to have about 35 establishments, mostly restaurants and bars.
