Well, this was an offer from Harrahs mailed to my wife. Included rt. airfare on southwest and hotel for 4 nights, cost Free! Thursday Southwest flight out was smooth and uneventful to Reno. Harrah's bus/limo was waiting for us and we soon where on our way to Tahoe, about 20 of us total. Bar was stocked, so pretty much everyone started off in the party mood. Check in was quick and easy. we were given an executive suite, with a nice view of the sunrise and mountains. Oh yes, we could see the lake from our windows as well. 2 complete bathrooms, fridge and servi~bar. Plenty of space for us to streach out in. Well, it didn't take long for us to hit the casino.I played mostly quarter double pay 10play machines and dollar 5 play double double bonus. the first day was the most costly. We ate dinner in the buffet, vowing not to return. Back at the machines untill bedtime about 10pm, It was a long day. Friday, Up and out, to explore a little. We had breakfast at the Harrahs coffee shop, and they still have live keno runners! We walked over to Harveys, connected by a tunnel under the street. Employees were very nice in both properties to us. Then outside to the old Caesars, now called MonteBlu, it's a Tropicana property, Laughlin, owned. New carpet and some old machines that played really well, before we left here, I was upgraded a class of players card. Across the street to the old Sahara, now called the Horizon. It's a ghost of its former self. No table games, and old slots (machines no one was playing). Rummor has it, the owners of the property have been leasing the property to Horizons and by next year the casino will have shut down and the owners are thinking CONDOS. Back at Harrahs we head for dinner at Harveys only to find out Kitchen 19 is closed till around christmas. So over to Harrahs for their roof top resturant Will800 recomended. Dinner was perfect. A couple of rounds of Grande Mariner, with both of us opting for the King crab and filet. With appys, the bill was over $200 without tip. We played till 11 pm. Saturday, Up super early so I could see the equlips of the moon! breaky at the coffee shop, with Keno, Sharon made an appointment at the Spa for Sunday. and then we just hung out in the casino till our late lunch @Fatburger. Today was an odd gambling day. With just coming off 9 days in Vegas, I got kinda video pokered out, So I played spin poker deluxe @ the dime level. That's 100 dimes a button push, or $10, depending on how you want to look at it? I drew to a had where I had 5 royal flushes for a total of 2K and my first W2G on a spin poker machine. Now a question, is spin poker a slot, or a poker machine? Then I play a 9 line triple diamond slot (quarters) and I hit triple daimonds on line 9, jackpot $1250, my first W2G on a slot ever. I spend the rest of the afternoon giving my money back to the casino. At about 7pm Sharon wants to play a little Let It Ride table game, before dinner. We never made dinner, instead we played let it ride and drank till 4am in the morning. When I got back to the room, I made dinner out of the servi`bar! BTW, Sharon got a royal flush on quarters this trip and she also hid away almost 1K in chips playing let it ride. She likes the purple chips! LOL Sunday Sunday came real early, sharon off to the Spa, and me off to watch football. I had some money on the Ravens to best the colts by 16, but they let me down and only beat them by 14, lost wager, but my team still won! Breakfast at Fatburger. Hair of the dog bloody mary, did not do the trick, back up to the room after sharon gets her starbucks coffee, and it's nap time. Slept till 6, and then we checked out the Diamond clubs at Harrahs and Harveys, and dinner at the Sage in Harveys. I had antelope filet for the first time, it was GOOD! We played video poker till we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer and to bed for an early wake-up for our flights home. Monday We talked to our host, before checking out, Harrahs picked up the check for everything, all meals, all drinks, the Spa, all the seri`bar charges, everything, even the high speed internet charges @10.95 per device, that was a 40 dollar bill a day! LOL On the limo/bus ride to the airport we chatted with our fellow gamblers. They are taking advantage of every Harrahs offer then get. Some have been on multible cruises, and new orleans, tunica. Before we went on this trip, we had received another offer for Tahoe in January. we wont be using that one, but I am watching our mailbox!!! Sharon got frisked by airport security. Kinda ruined her whole day. Airport security is a complete joke. While they detained her, I had full access to all her property and had already stuffed all my junk from her purse into my pockets, aka wallet inhaler, keys, pen, and everything in her backpack. then they come over to me and ask what stuff is hers? I point to her purse. BTW, they claim they found something on her shoes with the machine. BS, brand new shoes! we had a 2.5hr layover in Denver, then a plane repair for an additional hr on the ground after we where all boarded on the darn plane. Hard landing in Philly. I think it was about as hard a landing, with out calling it a crash as you can get. The wings stayed on, and we taxi'd to the terminal, no one clapped! Driver was waiting for us, and we arrived home a little after 2am Tuesday!
Over all, i had a great time. I didn't come home a winner, but for 4 nights away on vacation, I don't know anywhere I could have gone cheaper! I like Tahoe better then Reno, its a much more laid back vacation. I will go back, but I need some time away from the machines for awhile. While those fancy reasturants were nice and all, Fatburger was every bit as good, if not better!
Thanks for reading if ya got all the way through it! No shows, Sharon wasn't interested.
