Art,
Even though it's now Park place Entertainment and all the Hilton logos are taken off everything in the Flamingo, the Honners card helps at check-in (a little). The Flamingo check-in a a mess to start with. They used to have velvet ropes that you went trough like, well, cattle. Recently they remover the ropes and now do it a bunch of differnt ways. Sunday (our check-in day) every teller had his/her own line of people. Next time I look it's all one line like the bank only without ropes. Now this is for the general check-ins. The ViP check-in are noted by one sign. There was 4 people in front of us at check-in with to tellers working our line. By the time we where checked-in the line was 14 people deep and a third teller was called in to handle the crush of people. It's all in timing at the Flamingo. Arrive before 12 noon or after 6pm and the lines are good. BTW a lot of people waiting in the VIP line weren't honners club members. They just had a slot card and figured they where intitled to use the vip check-in. Which not one teller made a comment about. I have been going so long to the Flamingo, I'm pre-checked in when i arrive, I just pick-up my stuff atthe counter and give a fresh credit card inprint.
