I can't help with the sportsbook or the pool. But the tower rooms are pretty nice. IMO they are nicer than the rooms inside the pyramid.

The pool's very nice. Several pools and whirlpools spread out over a large area.

I have "heard" that the pyramid rooms have no bath tubs but the tower rooms do. Wendell

Sports Book looks real nice, I've never sat in it, but walking by it looks like I nice place to watch games, have a drink and lose your money. laugh

In the pyramid you can stay in the infamous "suicide suite".

I'd highly recommend one of the mini-suites in the towers. Large sitting room with wet bar and TV, large separate bedroom with it's own TV, and a large marbled bath area with tub and shower stall. The tubs have the "butt-tickler" bubble jets and are quite comfortable.

Pool area is great: three separate pools, as I recall, cabanas if you want, drink service available.

Can't tell you about the sports book, though. I'm a crapshooter by choice.

The Nile Deli has great food, by the way.

I think you made a very good choice ...I just stayed in the one of the pyramid rooms in January, and the stay was educational ...but it's not an experience I'll want to repeat. My main complaint would be room noise, from neighbors, hallways and plumbing.

Even though I wasn't crazy about the room, I did enjoy both meals at Luxor ....the Pyramid Cafe does a really good Prime Rib dinner, and my breakfast buffet was also good. I will go back there to eat any time. smile
