Well, after reading some of the archives I am now nervous!
We are booked into Circus Circus in less than 2 weeks, because that's where my husband's convention is located.
Then we are moving to Imperial Palace for a few extra days (CC would not let us stay in the same room for even a higher rate - wanted to move us to the Manor.)
Now I'm reading all sorts of negative feedback on the two sites.
Advice please on surviving both places? Would it make a difference at IP to try to upgrade to one of the Luv Tub suites?
We are interested in good rates, convenient location and clean quiet rooms (I know CC is at the north end, but that is not negotiable)
Thanks for any advice, bad news or solace you can offer!
I'm no longer a fan of the IP, however we do have someone on this BB that swears by it and should have very current information. He should be back from Vegas SOON! Larry, this one is right down your ally!~
I would say IP is an upgrade from CC! I would spend the extra money for the luv tub suite too if it wasn't a killer price tag.

Kestral, Just got back from my stay at the IP. The Luv Tub room, has Mirrors above the king size bed, with a huge jacuzzi in the room (don't add bubble bath), with a seprate shower room. All the rooms are keep very clean. The staff at the IP are great. The IP is center strip between Harrah's and the Flamingo accross from Caesers. If you stay make sure you get a slot card with little play you could pay for at least one night of your stay. Go to the IP web site and check on their room specials.
Kestrel, we could probably start an "I survived the IP" club right here on TalkVegas<g>. Unless you opt for one of Larry's bubbling experiences in a suite<ewg>, you won't be overwhelmed by luxury, but it's a great location in the center of the strip. We all have different comfort levels, but I'd rather spend my $$$ on entertainment than on a room where I spend very little time.
I thought the room I saw at the IP was very basic. The colors were on the dark side, but the room was neat and clean. I guess it is about the same as a basic Holiday Inn or Best Western room. I don't have anything good to say about CC except for their steakhouse, so I won't say anything<G>
