   Palace Station vs. Gold Coast
   Palace Station vs. Gold Coast
Greetings....Long time bo post...hope everyone is well...

I need some imput on my dilemma> I can stay at Gold Coast in June for $30/nite verses Palace Station (tower room) whose mail out puts it out for around $17/nite. I am leaning on the BC based on location, amenities and my thoughts when I visited both as a casino only patron. The floor is your's....thoughts please!

Spencie, that is a good question. From the fact you that pointed out the offer was for the Tower rooms at Palace Station and have an understanding of the advantage of the Gold Coast's location (near The Rio, Palms, and a shuttle to the ctr. strip and Orleans) you already know most of what i would say about the situation.

If it were me, i think i'd give the Palace Station a try (as long as it's the Tower rooms) based on the fact that if you're staying for a week, the savings would go a long way towards a rental car.

You know the properties. My only question is you said BC (as barbary Coast) I beleive you ment to GC?
I have not stayed in either one, but have gambled in both as you have.
Palace Station will have a more pleasent clientel in the late evening/early morning hours. Palace Station won't have as many BJ tables open at that hour of night at GC either.
GC just did a major remodel, but I beleive they concentrated on the casino. It's a much brighter experiance then it was and the smoke seems better.
This is a real close one! Myself personally, would go with Palace Station, on the merrits of price. Like Ed mentioned, the savings could go to a rental car, and then your free to travel anywhere you want to play.

The score....2-0 for the Palace Station over Gold Coast (GC.

Great point Ed regarding $ saved going towards the costs of a rental car.

I like the Gold Coast better. They have some great meal values and the location is only minutes from the strip. I also think there is a free shuttle to the strip so there is no need to rent a car.
That's my 2 cents worth<G>
