Has anybody stayed at the new hotel The Palms? I think it is across from the Gold Coast. What did you think of it. Did you get a good deal to stay there? Thanks

I have not stayed there but I have visited the casino and the property in general. If the price is right then it is a good choice. You can access the web page for the Palm from the talkvegas home page. Scroll down to the casino/hotels and click on the Palms and you might be able to see a sample room.

I have seen the Palms corner rooms, might have been called petite suite? Very lux, with pillow top matress nice furnature, very large TV.
Daisy has stayed there and we had a talkvegas mini meet in her room.
Is it a good value? I'd say it all depends on what you need from a hotel in Vegas and the price they are asking.
Would I stay there. Yes, but not for a long stay. A couple of days this place would work very well for me, but not for the 9 nighters we do so often. I'm not all that fond of the casino area, and in a nut shell that is what I'm looking for. I'm way past the trendy crowd age to really enjoy being seen there. M2C

I have wandered around the Casino, but could contribute nothing as to the rooms or hotel cost, however; the location should be great for transportation purposes. You can cross the street for acess to the Gold Coast and RIO. You can catch the Orleans (or RIO) shuttle to the Orleans or center strip at the Barbary Coast or Harrahs thus giving you free transportation to the Palms, Gold Coast, RIO, Orleans, or center Strip. Pretty neat for Casino hopping. Wendell

Welcome to TalkVegas, Megammon! Lee summed it up pretty well ...what are you looking for in a hotel room?

I didn't get a particularly good deal to stay there, but rooms are quite nice, with the emphasis on creature comforts, rather than fancy appearance ...they are quite proud of their comfortable beds, with good reason. smile My junior suite had a nice sitting area, work desk, safe and 32" TV..with a fully stocked minibar which would have been expensive if I had breathed heavily on it<g>. If you go to their web site (available from our home page), there are pictures of the rooms, and they are quite accurate. The pool area and exercise room are also quite nice.

Hope this helps ...I'd be happy to answer any specific questions if I can.

Thanks for your information, I visit this board every once in awhile when I have a hankering to go to Las Vegas. This board is very helpful in finding many bargins and other info about vegas. I used to go the the Vegas bulletin board when it is was one Prodigy. So I have read alot of your writings. Keep up the good work!!
