The location of the room is a matter of preference. We like the Palace Tower rooms. They are convenient to the pool area. BUT, they are a pretty good walk to the casino. They are the newest rooms and have a safe, iron and jaccuzzi. They generally run $20 more a night than the other rooms. The $20 tip probably won't work for these rooms, but it would be worth a try. The next choice would be the Forum tower rooms. Make sure not to get a room at the far end of the hall. These rooms are smaller than the other rooms in the Forum Tower. This tower is convenient to the casino, but it is a fair walk to the pool from the Forum Tower. The $20 tip might get you an upgraded room in the Forum Tower.
I have not had success with tippin for a room upgrade at Caesars. The front desk people always say that there is nothing they can do.
Good Luck.

Yep. It's more convenient, at least when we used it last March. Shelley waited on the luggage while I checked in. The luggage came up while I was finishing up.

One word of advice, they might want to reserve the room in the wife's name IF they pack luggage like Shelley does. Shelley couldn't get the bags off the carousel if her life depended on it. Since the room was in my name, I had to check in. Next time it will be in her name and she can check in while I grab the bags.

If you're there early, you'll get your room assignment and be told the check at the mail desk for your keys when your room is ready. We arrived at 9AM so we went and played for awhile, then went and picked up our keys and went to the room.
I liked it would use it again.
