Could anyone who has been at the Orleans over the last month pls. supply an update on the Construction. Specifically, what we can't do, what makes noise at 6 in the morn. and if the pool s affected (my wife's #1 priority).

Suggest that you call and talk to them (1-800) 675-3267. I called several weeks ago to inquire about their pool parties and they informed me that they would resume June 4th (Tuesday). I am due there in July. Have fun. :p Wendell

Second tower is renting, New poker room is open as well as new table game space & new bar (near poker room) recomended highly. New players club also open. Pool should be open soon if it's not already. As Wendell stated, pool parties should have started by now. Kinda tough to have a pool party and no pool. It would seem the major ingrediant! LOL There was still a lot of empty casino floor space. The new carpet feel so good on the feet to walk on.

Pool party?

Is that like "everybody in the pool" or it just takes place around the pool?

I've seen it mentioned at several properties and I keep forgetting to ask.

So what's the deal - wet swimming suits, dry martinis or some great combination :p ?

Kestral - As I understand it, they have a small bar, band, and snacks by the pool - I am"assuming" dress is optional and everyone just has a party - I will be attending one next month and will report on it. Wendell

Snacks, sometimes hot dogs at hamburgers, drinks available for purchase. Sort of like a pool mixer.
I don't see a need to attend these, as I'd much rather sit in Air Conditioning, at a VP bar, sipping free drinks. But that's just me. I hate the sun, I dislike sweating a great deal, and the whole speedo thing, just isn't me! LOL

I was at the Orleans pool party two years ago and the Hard Rock a few years earlier. You are not allowed in the pool. Dress is casual but no one wears bathing suits. Both had live bands.
According to the LVA, Green Valley Ranch has one daily where the pool is open for swimming. Admission is free but there was no mention of music or food so I don't know if it is a "party" like the others. Maybe I'll check it out next trip (very soon).
