Hi Everyone,
It's been awhile since I've visited this board. Gene and I missed our yearly visit to LV last year-as we had moved into a new house. This year we're going to our favorite city!!! So the planning begins. As some of the old time board members may remember me- Gene and I usually go to LV splitting our time 3 days Bellagio and 2 days somewhere else. We're considering Mandalay Bay -any thoughts on this hotel? We're thinking sat & sun at MB and mon, tues & wed at Bellagio-would love some feedback. We've never stayed at MB,the last time we did Bellagio & Paris, before that Bellagio & Venetian, before that bellagio & NYNY, and the list continues. Any help would be appreciated.
While I've never stayed at Mandalay Bay, it looks like it will fit nicely into the group of places you've stayed in the past. I would think the place should be better then your stays at Paris & NYNY. On the other hand, you might want to try the Aladdin. I've stayed there, and enjoyed the room very much. With the connected mall, resturant choices are out of this world. Comanders Palace, ofcourse heads this list! My only real problem with Mandalay Bay is the crowd. As a table player, there seems to be a lot of young people with money that don't really understand how to play the game. A plus for Mandalay Bay Group, but not a plus for me as a player. As a VP player, last time through, there was nothing I'd play. M2C
MB is a fabulous property and you will be very happy there. The pool area is wonderful if you are going during a time the pool is open. Even if it is not, you'll like MB.

Carrie,
I stayed at MB a couple times shortly after they opened. Rooms are great, had a nice suite one time. Pool is fantastic. I liked the openess of the casino and the live music at night from several open lounges.
If you like to valet park, use the one inside the parking garage around back.
