54Carol: Sorry; I can't be of any help. This Casino is an enigma to me? I visit every new place my next trip after it's opening, as a rule. I have been to "Las Vegas" three times since the "Aladdin" opened and twice forgot to visit it,just forgot? Once; I didn't have time. I seem to not be affected by this place, which is rare for me. I also have never talked to anyone who has stayed there..It will be interesting to read what you may have to say of it?? laugh laugh

Carol,
I've stayed there as a casino guest. I was given one of the larger rooms, with a great view of the strip. My room had a giant tub for soaking and a large seperate shower. Large vanity area, both in the bathroom and in the foyer. Assorted soaps and toiletries in the room as well. Each room has a high speed internet conection available.
The only reason I mention I was a casino guest, is I don't know what is in a standard room. My sister has seen a smaller room at the Aladdin, when she was asigned a room that was occupied! YIKES! But then was upgraded to what I had, on a differnt floor, for their mistake.
No safe in either of our rooms. Safety deposit boxes are available, and in a privite room off to the side of the casino cage. Very discreate location.
Parking stinks! You must valet if you have luggage, and then use bell services. It's the only resonable way to do it. Whoever designed the entrance should be left in the desert somewhere and forgotten about. Valet will often be maked "VALET FULL" show them a room key or if your checking in, tell them as such. If you are doing neither, a $10 bill is a great subsitution for a room key! LOL
This place is a video poker wasteland. The last few times at the Aladdin it was only for a shop at the mall, not to gamble. BJ is delt from a shoe on every table, even the London Club, which has scaled back there hours recently too.
Coffee shop is very good, but expencive. It is one of my favorite places for Steak & Egg breakfast, but it goes for something like $16.95. OUCH! The buffet used to be a mod scene, I guess it was good judging from the crowds, but I never tried it personally. PF Changs is located inside the Aladdin, Always a wait, but they give you pagers, and buzz you when your table is ready. This Changs doesn't have a full Changs menu, but it has most of the items.
Lounge usually has some good performers. Upbeat, modern music.
Hope this helps. Anything you might have in a particular question, please post and I'll do my best to answer.
Oh and no, we where never invited back. With the poor VP and the shoe BJ games, we played at other properties.

54Carol:

I have stayed at the Aladdin Three times. My first time I stayed there I tried the twenty dollar trick and was upgraded to a suite. It was nice the next two trips I stayed at the regular rooms and didn't try the twenty dollar tricks because they were sold out that weekend.(there was a concert in town.)

The food at the Aladdin is great. They have a great buffet along with several choices for sit down meals. I would have to say that out of all the casinos I have stayed at this place had the most friendly dealers and pit bosses. They would remember my name and joke around with me.
IF you can afford to play in the London Club I would highly recommend it.(the min bet is 25.00 on blackjack). One unique aspect of the club is that they play with European rules. Last time I was there I was getting smoked and the dealer mentioned to me that they have those rules. There was a little old lady sitting on third base and could not lose. With those rules I can bet on her hand so I started betting with her 50+ plus and she won 18 out of 20 hands for me.(She had six blackajacks). It was really fun and put me back in the black for that session. The drink service in the London Club is also top notch. The place is always empty so you there is no problem getting a drink. I think the casino made a mistake by putting the Club upstairs away from the action. I find the club hard to find.

For things to do at the Aladdin that is not gambling. They have two pools on the seventh floor. It is about an average pool setting. I think if you were going to stay there just for the pool you would be disappointed for Vegas Megaresort Standards. They have great shopping mall though and also a rain display were it rains every hour inside the mall.

I finally visited Aladdin on my last trip, and one thing I liked was the entertainment offered in one area of the casino floor...varied between belly dancers and acrobats while I was there and was fun to watch ...fun to people watch too<g>. I wish I could tell you exactly where it was, but one thing I didn't like was trying to find my way out of the place! I finally swallowed my pride and asked directions.

P.S. Welcome Kid! I hope you'll visit the Gambling Forum and tell us some of the other differences between European BJ rules and BJ as I know it.

Vegaskid and all,
Sounds interesting! I'd like more info.if anyone has any? I got some fairly good numbers for them in Nov.I might give them a try then. I visited there a few times and liked what I saw and the lounges were great.I booked Orleans but would rather stay on the strip. If the rates are not too bad.Orleans is $433.for 9 Nts.pretty hard to beat! MC wants $800+ somewhere in between might be ok.My dates are Nov.21-30th.Paris and others were more than MC but not by much?? The lowest air I got so far was USAir $362 from LGA.DL,AA,UA around the same. They don't seem to be dropping down lately? Thanks for any info.

Bob G,
The day that might be killing you on the price is November 30th. That was my problem too. What did I do? I stayed an extra day and am going home Monday December 1st instead. Saved me close to $100 a ticket! November 30th is a heavey travel day for return thanksgiving travelers. Now if your looking to get bumped and a possible travel voucher for your next trip to LV, well then stick with Nov. 30th, that date has always been good to us! laugh laugh laugh

Thanks all for your replies. My big questions were answered. I would have thought the rooms would have a safe (being a newer property). Oh well.

See previous response to John's post about Ceasars. (room rates offered) In less than one week after that, I received an offer from Caesars for the 3free nights in Palace Tower, $150 credit (to be used on any service - not just dining) then UP TO 2 additional nights at $69 weekday and $109 weekends. We usually go for 7 days and the way this trip goes, the next 2 days would be the weekend. When I called to see what the Sun & Mon rates would be............get this........$239 and $339!!!!!! She said they had to go by their deals (5 night max.) and that they MIGHT be able to do something at the end of our stay......NOT! Cause we're not staying there!
