I am entertaining the thought of staying at the Ho based on an offer by them thru Funjet. Apparently, guests recieve a lunch and unlimited drinks during the duration of the stay at the Ho. I am requesting some feedback on this proposition. A grab or a great offer????

The Ho is towards the North end of the Strip. Rooms are motel type rooms, behind the casino. Many are quite far from tha casino. They're small and sparce. I've heard some people say they like being able to park at the door to their room. Free meals here are likely worth what you pay for them. If all you want is a place to shower and grab a few winks at night, I guess it would be alright. I took them up on a free offer a couple years ago. After checking in, I went somewhere else and got a room!

spencie, Had free rooms there once, checked in just to check out the rooms. As Jeff said they are motel rooms, and from the room I've seen I would not stay there for free.IMHO
I don't like to stay at places where it's easy for people to watch you come and go from your room. I like leaving my room inside a hallway. IMHO it's safer! I've never stayed here, just hear the same things the Senator and Larry just explained about the place. I've gambles inside quite a few times. They had some decent pay machines at one time, although I'm not current on what kind of machines are on the floor now. The snack bar used to serve a $1.00 shrimp cocktail that was eddible and the strawberry shortcake always looked good. The dogs where tasteless. One last item about the casino, their seems to be a WestWard Ho smell about the place. Probably do to poor ventelation, although I can not remember it ever being smokey in the joint. We just don't stop there anymore.
Spencie, I love a bargain, but I wouldn't touch this offer. Free drinks are available anywhere, and I think a lot of us skip lunch in Las Vegas, so basically they're offering you a questionable room with poor security in the seedy end of the strip.
Many thanks to those who responded... My mind is made up that my trip to the Ho will stay the same.....a 2 hour stay for the 99 cent margaritas and bad (enjoyable) lounge acts. play safe.
