   Aladdin or Luxor ?
   Aladdin or Luxor ?
Given the same costs, would you choose Aladdin or Luxor, and why so?

Casino is not a priority for us. We'd probably be more interested in a nice room, nice common areas, spa, & restaurants.

I'm leaning towards Luxor (holding a tower room), but that's based on reading, not first hand experience. I have read the Luxor threads.

Thanks.

Al,
I have never stayed at the Luxor, but I have at the Aladdin. My wife and I really liked the Aladdin. It is still fairly new, the rooms are nice, and there is a gigantic mall attached to the place (for the shoppers or browsers of the group). The mall is also nice to wake up and stop off at one of the little coffee shops in the morning. The Spice Market buffet is excellent which is in the lower part of the complex, along with other restaurants like PF Changs, etc right on site. Not too mention the two nice sized pools they have. Hope that helps.

We too have never stayed at Luxor, but have at Aladdin. I agree with PA-cop, and add to that, depending on how often you go to Vegas, this may be the last time to ever stay at Aladdin since it will be changing to Planet Hollywood.

I'm going with everyone else here. I've only stayed at the Aladdin twice, but both times it was fantastic. I would have no problem staying there again in the future.
On the other side of the coin, the Luxor is on a short list of hotels I'd like to stay at, but haven't yet.
I think if your looking at just a regular room, the Aladdin would be a better choice, however I understand the Luxor has some very nice suites!

It appears that Luxor has more dining & entertainment options than Aladdin.

The Spa rates are lower at Luxor, too.

Al,

Luxor is probably going to have more 'unique' rooms, spa, and restaurants than Alladin.

Everything at Alladin is pretty new so it should look fresher. It will likely be more crowded.

Alladin is more centrally located if you want to easily walk to other resorts.

Is this your first time to Vegas? If so, either place will WOW you.

No, this would probably be the third visit (that I can remember).

Stayed at Paris last time.

Stayed at both and the only thing I liked about the Aladdin was the buffet, and now I hear that's going downhill too.

I actually don't think that Planet Hollywood will do anything to make it any better either.

I can't explain the feeling, but I just don't feel comfortable in the casino. Anyone else feel that way?

LUXOR - Stayed at the Luxor many times but have yet to try out the newer rooms in the "Square" tower. I'd recommend it if the rates are relatively comparable to the Exclibur, NYNY, and Tropicana.
