Tupak Dies (by JMT)
Rap artist Tupac Shakur was shot riding in a car on Flamingo Rd outside of the MGM casino (now Ballys) following the Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon heavyweight title fight on Sept 7 and died on Friday the 13th 1996. If you look across the street from the Westin casino, you can find a electric pole that has been unofficially turned into a memorial for Tupac. The notes and flowers significantly increase as the anniversary of his shooting and death approach.
