Bourbon Street Closes (by JMT)
The 166 room Bourbon Street closed at 10:00am on this date in October of 2005 as part of Harrah's land grab. Harrah's had said it would close the property after Halloween, but closed it two weeks ahead of schedule, citing a water leak that jeopardized the integrity of the building.
