Desert Passage Opens (by JMT)
After 33 years, the Aladdin was imploded on April 27, 1998. The new and improved mega-resort class Aladdin did not open today as expected, due to fire safety inspections. Instead, the Dessert Passage Mall opened up, although it was incomplete and had air conditoner failures.
