Dunes Imploded (by JMT)
At 10:10pm, on this date in 1993, The Dunes became history, as it was imploded in grand fashion in front of over 200,000 eye witnesses, and countless cameras. The implosion started from a cannon fired from a ship at Treasure Island. The end of the Dunes was the beginning for Steve Wynn's latest project at the time, The Bellagio.
